2007 Cross Country Run

Among the participating companies.
More than 1,100 participants from our operating companies and the Head Office gathered at Likom’s premises in Melaka on 18 November 2007 for the Group’s 7th Cross Country Run.

The flag-off by our Group Chairman and CEO, Tan Sri William Cheng saw the participants in the Men’s Open category streaking away followed by the female participants and lastly the runners in the Men’s Veteran Category.More than 1,100 participants from our operating companies and the Head Office gathered at Likom’s premises in Melaka on 18 November 2007 for the Group’s 7th Cross Country Run.

Group Executive Director, Datuk Albert Cheng; Posim Executive Director, Mr Ngan Yow Chong who is also the Chairman of the Group Sports and Recreation Committee; GMs, managers and staff were also present to cheer the runners.

Prizes in the form of medals, Parkson vouchers and hampers were awarded to all the winners. Certificates were also given to participants who finished within the qualifying time.

Tan Sri in his speech at the prize presentation ceremony encouraged everyone to join in the activities as a way of getting to know each other in the Group. The overall champion award went to Likom Group of Companies which will keep the Tan Sri William Cheng Challenge Trophy until the next run.

Some of the lucky draw winners receiving Parkson vouchers and Mahkota Hotel room vouchers from Tan Sri William Cheng and Silverstone tyeres from Datuk Albert Cheng.

Lucky staff walked away with Silverstone tyres, Parkson vouchers, room vouchers in Mahkota Hotel, electrical appliance, hampers and other products as lucky draw prizes. Dayang Suzana from Silverstone Berhad in Taiping and Agus Priyanto of Likom Caseworks won the special prize of RM500 Parkson vouchers each contributed by Tan Sri William Cheng.

Silverstone, Posim Petroleum Marketing, Lion Best and Property Division also set up booths to display their products and activities during the event. Earlier, Likom had organised a welcome dinner for the participants on 17 November 2007.

Everyone had an enjoyable time in Melaka and is looking forward to the run in Silverstone next year.
