Parkson Corporation Sdn Bhd officially launched its annual donation drive for school supplies at its Parkson Grand Selayang store on 17 November 2007. It is the 7th consecutive year Educare is jointly organised with Sri Jayanti Association. The drive is aimed at collecting school supplies for 5000 needy students. Each Parkson store had a donation bin for the public to drop their donations such as bags, shoes, uniforms and other schooling essentials. Mr Gui Cheng Hock, Parkson’s General Manager in his speech at the launch said the donations will relieve students of their worries about not having proper school essentials, and will encourage them to do well with a better opportunity to attain success in their future. Donations will be distributed to needy students nominated by schools nationwide and also to Malaysia Children’s Aid Society (MACAS) and NGOs.
