The Group Sponsors African Lion Gen (R) Tan Sri Dato' Zain Mahmud Hashim (right) presenting the mock-cheque to Dato' Ismail Hudson (left) and Dr Mohamad Ngah being our sponsorship for 'Champ', the African Lion (inset). The Group has pledged a sponsorship of RM84,000 for an African lion at Zoo Negara for four years. The sponsorship covers feeding, medication and maintenance expenses for the lion. Group Director, Gen (R) Tan Sri Dato' Zain Mahmud Hashim presented the Group's sponsorship for the two years, 2006 and 2007 amounting to RM42,000, to the President of the Malaysian Zoological Society, Dato' Ismail Hudson on 24 July 2007. In earlier years, the Group had also sponsored the upkeep of three Gir lions; two cubs and their mother, and another African lion at the zoo. This is part of the Group's community relations programme which includes efforts to preserve our wildlife.
