Parkson Launches CSR Programs in Johor Bahru

In conjunction with Parkson’s 20th Anniversary, Parkson Holiday Plaza kicked off the Johor Bahru Chapter of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program on 14 June 2008.

Officiated by Datuk Bandar Majlis Bandaraya Johor, Dato' Haji Md. Naim Nasir, over 50 staff volunteered to spruce up Taman Datin Rokiah in Taman Century, Johor Bahru. In addition to that, gym equipment were installed at the park to promote healthy recreational activities.

In his speech, Parkson Marketing Manager, Mr Chok Choon Fui said, "Taman Datin Rokiah is the 7th Park adopted by Parkson. Over the years, RM16 million has been raised through various initiatives and charity programs ranging from Superstar Music Festivals to anniversaries’ donation drives in aid of education and medical assistance so as to give back to the community through our CSR program."


In high spirits to spruce up the park.

Since the adoption and official launch of Parkson’s Park Adoption Program in Taman Bandaran Kelana Jaya in Petaling Jaya; Parkson Seremban, Ipoh, Sungai Petani, Kuantan and Kajang have also identified and adopted parks in their respective neighborhoods with tremendous support and good response from the public.
